This website provides searchable access to the words spoken by Jesus Christ or communicated by His spirit to prophets as recorded in the Standard Works of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through these words you can spiritually hear the voice of the Lord.
Creating The Words of Jesus Christ has been a personal labor of love for about 20 years. It is meant to be an aid for studying the Savior’s words in an effort to know and follow Him. It does not purport to certify scriptural passages that were absolutely spoken by Jesus Christ. However, it is a careful and prayerful attempt to be as accurate as possible in trying to do so. The approach taken for identifying the Savior’s words in the scriptures and making appropriate updates to improve accuracy is outlined here.
While there may be minor typographical errors that will be corrected in due course, the greatest challenge has been parsing certain books of the Old Testament such as Isaiah and Jeremiah. Were specific phrases from the prophet or from Jehovah? The Savior made a statement that can be reasonably applied to this question:
“What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.”(1)

Every search result includes the parsed words of Jesus Christ from matching verses, the full verse text from the official online version of the Scriptures, and a link to the full verse in context from the online version of the Scriptures.
